Snow Ice Cream Recipe

We've been visiting my family in Ohio for the past few days and my boys and I have had a blast playing in the snow all day! We've made snow angels, snowmen and forts and my brother gave lessons in making the best snowballs in town.
The first day it snowed, my parents gave each of them a cup full of snow to play with. Ace ate the entire cup and Lucky went around the house throwing it everywhere! That's the funny thing about grandparents, they let their grandchildren do things they would've killed their kids for doing!
As much fun as it's been I have to admit that if I see them shove another glovefull of snow {it's been on the ground for days now} into their mouths I'm going to vomit.

Luckily, I remembered a post by Larksong Knits on making snow ice cream!

So we collected some fresh, clean snow and went at it! The boys loved it and it was so much fun to eat!

I remember my mom making snow ice cream for us kids and I would love to do the same for my boys, but we rarely have any snow!

Ali- try using shaved ice instead of snow, that's what I plan on doing when I get back home!
